Irish Apple Cake
Ingredients
3 to 4 cooking apples peeled and cored

1 lemon
140g light golden sugar
225g plain flour
2 tbsp baking powder
5 tbsp milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp caster sugar

Method
Preheat the oven to150C Fan. Butter a round cake tin.
Start by juicing a lemon. Pour the juice into a bowl. Then peel the apples. Cut the apples into wedges. Place them in the bowl of lemon juice to keep them from going brown.
Then place the sugar And butter into a bowl. Using a mixer mix the twi ingredients together until you have a smooth texture.
Mix in the eggs And milk into the mixture. Sieve the flour and baking powder into the mixture.
Using a spatula mix the flour into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the cake tin And place the apples on top. Then sprinkle some cinnamon And caster sugar on top.
Place in the oven for 50 minutes or until golden brown.
